i can see how those who worship the unorthodox
descend into madness.
the destroyer of worlds
i used to think that that is me,
but she and i are so different.
i have learnt that you cannot destroy
that which you do not have.
to the wolves we feed,
and the gods we worship,
we are nothing but a sacrifice presented
willingly atop a pyramid of dead men.
but yet we climb
and look up towards the light,
because that flame
could just be the salvation the moth is searching for.
be careful, they say
when you stare into the abyss
the abyss
stares right back at you;
when you hunt monsters
do not become one of them.
i stand stripped, as a mass of decaying flesh
as if that is the consolation of any humanity left.
now that my deliverance is within an arm’s reach
i am but one arm short, as i burn in infernal hell.
for i must destroy my world
to save myself.
there is no love
for the destroyer of worlds.
