hello! just home =.= tired. z. i ate at macs with some random npcc guys haha and one thing that rly rly rly wtf amazed me was. however cockster those guys were (pengseng, yitao etc -.-). they were all stoning there with their food. yes. those that bought their food first did not eat. they waited for everyone to be back before they started eating.. wtf lol omg admirable..

i got my phone repaired! in one day! lol. in a few hours actly (Y). win. and its rly bu cuo nao it better not fuck up again haha.
i got new shoes! for new year one haha..

9.30 nao shall start work soooon.

was at lasalle open house ytd, really great, really.. eye and mind opener, so many things i saw, so many things i also want to do..
watched the jazz performance as well as the pop performance.. considering picking up either.. jazz = ftw skill and pop is like more mainstream guitar stuff.. hmm.
also saw a lotttt of arts media arts visual arts stuff that were daaaamn cool haha.. actly i v open i just like art and music la. i pref music and more into it i guess? but i as i said at nafa open house (with ho and choon staring weirdly at me) i rly dont mind any type of art haha ffs if they have enrichment classes for pottery, why not? its fun lol rly it is! zz.
haha anw yea as i was saying, yea we saw a lot of arts la, and got a lot ofcool vids/performances that really really strike me.. maybe i read too much into it, or maybe i'm right, but lol some really struck me..
like the monologues. the first one abt an american born chinese.. talking abt. californication. yes. caliFornication. simple as it may seem as a normal rant abt how chinese who are sent to america tend to abandon their background, traditions, and even family, just to try to fit in, i think there might be more. well, its cliche to quote an rhcp song lyric for this, but, californication, caliFornication, is something that even tidal waves cannot save the world from.
then there was the second monologue, abt the lady who wanted a can of tuna fish. a lot of ppl found it funny, maybe it was meant to be and i read it wrongly, but i could only smile sadly at the bleakness of the concept the monologue might have tried to hide, smiling sadder only because people around me laugh. so the story goes, this lady wanted a can of tuna fish at the supermarket but there was this person blocking her way. the person wasnt sensitive enough to her needs, her need of wanting to get the can, and therefore does not move away. she gets frustrated, but is scared of approaching the insensitive person, in fear of worsening the situation (getting 'hurt' more, to paint a more straight forward picture). she then cries silently about it. after crying in vain and the crying not helpingthe situation, she finally cannot take it anymore, and brings her fist down on the person's head.
maybe i read too much into it, but it seems to me the monologue masks a commentary of a situation we sometimes/often see in our lives. some people in our crowd are just so insensitive. they cannot sense another person, much less sense his/her needs, wants, feelings, thus creating a 'problem'. and especially if the 'victim' is an overly sensitive person, the situation would be much worse. at first, you try. then u try again, but u still get hurt by the insensitive person. you are frustrated and you cry about it, but that is not gonna help the situation because humans are just so thick and insensitive. you finally crack and break and explode and erupt because it is too much to take. humourous as the monologue may have been, it is a chillingly real issue that happens to many of us. then again, insensitivity is one thing, oversensitivity is another. both catalysts for distrust.
lastly, out of the many many videos i saw, one that i dint really understand (i think) struck me the most. it was an absract colour sketch video about these few kids playing, then at the appearance of the ice cream man, all rushed to buy popsicles. after eatign the popsicles, they each grew into a grown up form of themself. i cant really rmr the details of wat happened next but it was really abstract and that was really about it. but i think it had a very strong concept behind the vid. the title of the vid was called 'how we forget the ice cream man'
which is true. many of us have happily put our childhood behind us. many of us in this society this meta are trying very hard to grow up. and it is not helping, that the society has its own guidelines on age. many good shows, for no reason, are rated nc 16, even m18 nowadays; the legal age to have sex is 16, to club is 16 or 18 izzit? 18 to drink and smoke. not say these are to be looked forward to, but many of us are either curious about those things (as, as you know, the more the adults ban it, the more curious we get to see what they actually are like), or enjoy doing it, or enjoy breaking the damn rules for the sake of breaking them. the age restrictions arent necessary bad or wrong, but their presence, whether mandatory or not, definitely adds tothe fact that more underage ppl want to do them.
whatever reason it maybe, we cannot deny that a lot of ppl underage want to do them; a lot of people our age are trying to grow up. and fast. many do not treasure their youth. i do, lol i really do. i am peter pan and i do not want to grow up, much less grow old. i dont want to grow up, i want to wear my beach pants and t shirt, i want to prance and skip around in sch, smile and do as i please full of joyous boisterous youthful energy. some people try to dress mature and act mature and look as though they are 18 and above. but is that them? and even if it is, are they right, is it justified for them to want to grow up?
why do they want to grow up so much? they cant possibility be born with the mindset that they want to grow up trying to grow up. it is the media and the society, and eventually also peer pressure and 'peer' pressure, 'peer' pressure being pressure from peers which are really just grown ups these adolescents want to be like. the media is a cruel and powerful thing, and it often brainwashes the public its viewers into a lot of bullshit. seriously. media breeds fuck. media is full of lies and wrong portrayal of things. they dramatize a kiss, they idolize superficial beauty. not saying it is useless, on the contrary it is very useful as it spreads fast, but many things that are spread using it, are bad and wrong.
shouldnt go too much into it. i'm digressing. but the last line in the vid 'how we forget the ice cream man', was 'i was trick into growing up' or smth along these lines. i rmr the 'trick' dint have 'ed' at the back.
it just struck me really hard, at that moment in the vid, cos because of human nature and because of this society, this meta, our predecessors in this tradition of shit, tradition of wanting so much to grow up, many of us are tricked into growing up.

'DO YOU STILL LIKE KEIRA KNIGHTLEY' actly i cornered him in the toilet and asked him that lol -.- then he wash hands 'eh not really.. not as in um like like that kind of like la now is just actress like la' then give me a try to look innocent smao -.-
so i was like. WHEN DID U LIKE HER ONE. then he said, oh after pirates of the caribbean 2. then i HAH I LIKED HER SINCE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ONEEEE. I WALKED INTO A LIFT IN PLAZA AND SAW HER POSTER AND WENT TO FIND OUT WHO SHE WAS T_T
