i watched rule no. 1 ytd, thought it was a really good film. well, in the miscellaneous affairs department, there are 4 rules. rule #4, they are all around you. rule #3, things are never what they seem. rule #2 never let them touch you. rule #1 there are no ghosts.
i dno la but the movie was like qte deep to me, D: hahaha ok its not bad but can be scarier, i guess the director focused more on like the other aspects of the film la. i like it that when he first introduced ghosts, he introduced them as like, ppl who wander around not knowing what to do and where to go. which i thought was really apt, for both types of ghosts la. i guess in essence, ghosts really are beings who cant move on yet because of smth? but you know really, maybe if we all look closely, there are ghosts all around us. what makes a human ghost different from a spiritual ghost?
oh haha this brings me to think abt the beatles' song, eleanor rigby haha. which is abt eleanor and father mckenzie, and its really a sad song (features a string quartet i think?) i rmr kevin's pm was like argh cello lol. its a really good song but really sad too haha. "ah, look at all the lonely people", i dont think most people like in our age and in our meta (oh i havent used the word meta in a long time) are really lonely, but there really are people in this world, by choice or not, who are just, lone. so yea i dno, look around us?
i think rule #2 is for the sake of the film, i havent given it much thought, and rule #1 is like, smth about conspiracy theory, like how sometimes, lies and facades are necessary to maintain the balance, or peace we have now? like the reason behind why the assassin of emperor qin(at least in the movie hero) decided not to kill him (if he did, there would be no one who could unite china from warring nations to one single nation, collate one official standard language, have peace finally between the nations, etc), and why qin emperor (in the movie hero again) regrettably had to kill the assassin, and the assassin himself understood and faced death (so that qin shi huang will not appear weak to his enemies, will not have more assassins sent to him, etc) for the sake of the good of the people. ok its kinda digressed but yah the meaning is there la. just like in the movie, rule#1 is there are no ghosts, because if this truth was let out to people, they "would not send children to school, would not have houses to buy, the stock markets will fail", all because people are afraid. yea, indeed, just let smth small happen that makes ppl afraid, be it truth or hoax, and everyone will panic. and that is when things start to fall apart from the balance we have now. its the black iron prison theory thing, complain all you might that we are trapped and enclosed in the black iron prison; but what are you going to do once there are no rules to hold you back?
anw the main part of the film which i found like qte deep, is its take on perspective, rule #3. i think its very true that perspective is very influential on everything. like how at the start of the film [SPOILER] there is a police running after a guy. the narrator asks, can you tell which is the police and which is the fugitive? the answer was none. the first guy was a plainclothes and the second was a policeman, and both of them were running after a crook. then it switched to this lady who drops her lipstick and this guy who picks it up for her on the bus. shawn yue boards the bus, and shoots both of them. we wonder why a policeman like him would have done such a thing and in public? it was revealed towards the end of the movie, that the woman was possessed, and was going to come into contact with the guy so that the ghost in her can possess him (rule #2 is dont let them touch you because then they'll possess you), so shawn yue being a policeman and wanting to stop the spread of the possession (which will leave the prev human body an empty shell and quite dead), shoots both of them dead, as after he shot the woman it was too late, the ghost had possessed the man. so yea yah. perspective.
i think the most spine-tingling part about perspective, was towards the end of the film. we listen to shawn yue narrate his story, and we find out that the ghost possession spree stops when the ghost possesses the ex wife of his colleague, who tries to prove her innocence but gets possessed instead so both of them are shot and they die. but as shawn yue goes back home to a lifeless and motionless fiona xie, we realise how easy we believe bullshit people tell us? because at one point in the film shawn yue himself was possessed by the ghost alr. so from that point onwards all he told us was bullshit. there was no ex wife and colleague shooting; he murdered his colleague in a very plotless way, in an old dance studio, and the ex wife was left to wait for the colleague in vain. fiona xie was the one who passed the ghost to him, thats why she is lifeless and motionless. and the ghost who possessed him is some sex maniac serial killer he shot dead at the start of the film. so ya. the ghost is still rampant, who told you to believe all second half of the movie which shawn yue tells you, it was all bullshit. perspective man haha. yup, and i think one of the interesting parts that i rmr is that the police boss takes the dead colleague's alcohol flask and pours out the contents, wanting to drink. but realises that its just water. so the colleague that has been acting as a drunkard, a useless alcohol wasted no life all the while. he wasnt what he seemed to be. and i think this point enough, tells us that things are many a times not what they seem to be. perhaps we should alw try to get a better picture before passing judgment; or perhaps that is totally not possible at all in practice. i guess it doesnt matter.
ok i realise i did a lot of narrating above, that would probably be v confusing to ppl who havent watched the movie and read, so yah its ok dont have to read, i'm blogging more like i feel like blogging cos of the movie la hahaha.
i just showered and tmr is back to school.. zz sian hahaha. i think i dont like the way i always dwell on lucid dreams, and, i dont like the way lucid dreams dont dwell on me. ): a slice of heaven appears in front of me.. just never in my hands. -.- and i'm supp to end the blog post with

the reason why marilyn manson has to market to kids is because, his real customers dont have to pay. but i dont think he really knows this though, because its all really an ideology, an ideal.
pwn is but part of lampwn, and to say you are going to pwn somebody - pwn said with a horizontal fisting action - invokes much laughter. then again, contrary to belief, happiness is just another good in the world, nothing more than equivalent of fish, ice cream, books, and women. that being said, when you laugh after saying lets go and pwn her, you must realise, that you have gotten this laughter from someone else. thereby, when you feel that someone is pwning you, you derive that all laughter around you could have been yours, but they are not. you now wonder, not who wrenches this from your grasp,
but rather, how they do it? now, what comes of a man who is betrayed by his faith? anws, haha i'm eating dinner now and i think i shud get on with work soon zz, why do work though, you cant ever finish it! ):

kk, anw, past few days rocked haha (: and on monday i bought exrental vcds for like 3 for 10? i got davinci code, scary movie 4 and munich haha, all of which i wanted to watch for v long one haha. watched the first two firsts, they were qte good (da vinci code a bit boring and much less intrique than book, sm4 was -_- but got its lawl parts haha). munich was DAMN PRO. the acting was damn freaking pro, and the whole thing put tog, the way it was presented and stuff. damn pro too. its such a serious film lol. not documentry at all, but v history. yet, qte thriller. gd film.

today must be another damn bastard day to wake up to. come to think of it i havent been awake for more than 1.5 hours but yah. seems like everytime i blog it just happens to be a bastard day to wake up to? lol haha ok this sounds so emo -.- its not, i guess its just the kind of like walkabout-empty feeling of waste you get sometimes haha. like theres nth much to do for today other than the usual, work and guitar, u know? and how everyth is so quiet and flatline and you wish smth nice, or at least smth mildly interesting would happen. would u all this bored? o.O hahaha
ytd was class outing!! : D yay i love my class haha. i rly rly rly love my class!! : D haha you guys are like one of the only groups of frens i'm left with pls. i love my class haha : D as yuzhun and i were discussing ytd, 9 mols of gaseous sulphur trioxide LOL -.- 09SO3G. yay ftw haha. i love my class! : D ok so, we were supp to meet ytd at 12 and centrepoint pizza hut : D and as i was changing train at cityhall, sharona called me and prob inhaled one long breath cos she let out one whole long chain of words abt how she was finding pizzahut at centrepoint but she couldnt find it so she checked and checked the directory and after a few times she realised its not there, then yuzhun appears behind her and he guailans her HAHA omg lol yuzhun rocks. then he started to walk in ellipses or smth D: haha oh then they found wendy kurinchi xinying and justine and as i reached centrepoint i asked them where they were, apparently pizza hut closed down half a year ago HAHA and wendy just walked on searching for it, and realised to her horror that it has been replaced by ichiban boshi (or smth) hahahaha then we all lagged (class trad) outside ichiban boshi wondering wat to do now -.- haha and talk more crap w yuzhun : D then we went back to the directory and met with guanchua lanya yisheng and more ppl i think i cant rly rmr >< then we went plaza sing to find pizzahut instead hahahaha but couldnt get seats so in the end we went pasta mania (met rowena mel stella), which was a fabulous lunch cos i ate cream of mushroom soup and creamy al funghi pasta and i ate some creamy chicken and omg food rocks life rocks hahaha. oh then we decided to go arcade (marg eli choon ngan subra), where me gc yisheng and choon ngan played shooting haha, yisheng keep ks-ing me on the time crisis bonuses hahaha, but well its been maybe rly forever since i played time crisis or any shooting game in co op alr lor D: haha. oh then the girls were playing like. some smack ghost game HAHA oh and shooting, eli and margaret hahaha : D oh yah and ddr but i barely watched that. i know justine played guitar freaks hahaha. oh then after arcade i kept asking them to watch 10,000 bc cos sabretooth tigers and mammoths, and dialogue!! haha i think it'd be a nice movie lor, wl no one want to watch!!!! i wan to watch D: and meet the spartans haha. oh, then after that we went to pool where i got tired v fast i dno why, haha v fun to watch yuzhun pool haha he keep owning, otherwise he hitting the cue ball out of the table lol. oh and subra and i team then hahaha omg everyth was v funny : D oh after pool we attempted to eat ice cream and gelare but we pangsehed it after sitting down for damn long : D we go subway eat dinner instead. the person put wrong veggies in my sub D: haha btu they removed it. i think the 'oil and vinegar' sauce is v cool - they put oil then put vinegar, for win. then as we sat there eating subs and cookies (double choc chip is the best la, white chip is ok but i don think its nicer than double choc lor, and eli, everyone agrees oatmeal is D: hahahaha), oh yah we talked a lot of random stuff damn fun haha. by that time left sharona marg eli ro subra me yuzhun only haha. then the girls alw talk amongst themselves one! haha and they talk so softly me and subra try damn hard cannot hear -.- so me subra and yuzhun had guys talk which was DAMN COOL hahaha omg guys talk rocks lol. and yuzhun and is waturf hahahahaha. omg guys talk is damn fun (subra rmr our goal ar, end of year : D haha) guys talk rocks lol, its not just cool and interesting its damn gl and funny HAHA. oh but then later on we agreed that we shud just talk as a whole group lor and so we did! then ro had to leave for guitar lesson and subway customers needed seats so we zaoded to outside plaza sing to talk more. and we just had so much fun stuff to talk abt can. i love my class! : D haha towards to end, i think me yuzhun sharona left at 11 or so. i think its damn interesting and damn damn nice to talk to all of them lor, maybe since a long time got ppl i can talk to in this manner haha.
yea and looking at the above chunk, maybe thats why today is a damn bastard day to wake up to haha, after all, i wished allll of us just sat there in the night and talked forever i guess haha. its so, quiet today, my comp my phone even my siblings arent making any noise.
today is a very grey day, grey and cool and rly nice, i hope there is no drizzle, if there be rain let it be a storm. if not just keep it nice and cloudy with strong wins and low temp. i flipped the papers today, cos the headlines was smth terrible. but above that was i think smth abt m'sia and suddenly images of m'sia montage floated in, and how wonderful those days were, how wonderful, that kind of atmosphere, surroundings is. its all, dreamy. there was bright and blur days and there was wet and cold and grey days, and they were all dreamy, and they were all that one like me would long for on a day like this.
and then of course i thought abt ytd, we must need have a class outing again oon (watch movie D:), hopefully its a grey day, with lots and lots of wind and grey clouds. but nope no rain, not until/unless we are indoors for most of the part.
todays such a nice greyish day i mean its afternoon and its still grey and relatively cold. i need to go suntec, yixuan said theres some IT fair (bigger than comex!??! D: ) going on there now, he was supp to go ytd but he dint. he suggested i go today cos sat sun will have ppl, but. well theres like no one who wants to go shopping w me. i need to go suntec for the IT fair and smth else, kino for a book, bras basah complex to check some stuff out too. oh well. maybe thats why i dint rly want to wake up today, haha. oh, maybe i'm just missing/needing some good company.
back to doing flatline stuff, someone make my heart beat again!
